Introducing Our School Values Following our recent review, we're delighted to introduce our school values: Communication, Aspirational and Belonging. These values reflect what matters most to us and the kind of school community we want to nurture for every child. Communication We promote honest, respectful and kind communication so that everyone feels heard and understood. Aspirational We encourage every child to aim high, believe in themselves and work towards being the best they can be. Belonging Our school is a community where every child feels welcomed, valued and included. Together, these values will guide how we learn, grow and support one another, helping every child to feel that they belong, that their voice matters and that they can achieve their very best. We're excited to bring our values to life across our school community!
Exciting developments in EYFS! There have been lots of exciting changes taking place in our EYFS provision, with new equipment to explore and familiar faces stepping into new roles within the team. Our mud kitchen has already been put to very good use and it's certainly living up to its name! There have been plenty of muddy hands and lots of fun along the way. It's wonderful to see the children making the most of their new resources and enjoying opportunities to learn, explore and play together. And we're not finished yet... there are more exciting developments to come!
An update about our Facebook pages We're making a small change to our Facebook presence! Until now, St Bernard's and St Lawrence have shared this Facebook page. To make it easier for parents, carers and our wider school communities to find news and information relevant to each school, we are creating separate Facebook pages for each school. Going forward, each school will have its own page where we'll share updates, celebrations, events, reminders and all the wonderful things happening in school. This page will now become the dedicated page for St Bernard's School. We will share the link for St Lawrence School when ready. We encourage parents, carers, families and members of our community to follow the relevant page (or both!) to keep up to date. Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to sharing even more of what makes each of our schools amazing.
Great way to celebrate our very first St Bernard's School Festival! Day 1 was packed with fun-from outdoor disco dancing and sensory tunnels to scarecrow creations. Plenty of water play to keep everyone cool! Day 2 saw our school community come together with families, stalls, games, delicious treats. We had fantastic entertainment from a talented singer and The Rock Choir. A huge thank you to Lincolnshire Competitions for treating our pupils and staff to a much needed ice cream on a very hot day, and a big shout out to Bertie's Ice Cream for joining us at such short notice. We are so proud of our amazing school community! Thank you to everyone who helped make our first festival at St Bernard's School such a huge success!
St Bernard's Sports Day St Bernard's was proud to host our second annual Sports Day, bringing together students, staff and families for two fantastic days of sport. Our students showed outstanding determination, resilience and sportsmanship, giving their best in every event while supporting and encouraging one another throughout. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and such a positive atmosphere across both days. We're incredibly proud of all our students and would like to thank our staff, volunteers and families for helping to make the event such a success. The cooling water fun in the summer heat was the perfect way to celebrate the end of a busy and successful school term!

A Wonderful Visit from Former St Lawrence Students! Yesterday at St Lawrence, we were delighted to welcome back three of our former students for a tour of the school. Our fantastic Student Leadership Team greeted them, showed them around, and provided refreshments. Cameron, Beth and Alan left St Lawrence 11 years ago, and it was amazing to catch up with them and hear how far they've come on their journeys into paid employment. Cameron is now working in catering at a Care Home in Louth. Beth is thriving in her role as a dinner lady in a school. Alan has progressed to become Head Groundsman at a local leisure resort. We are incredibly proud of them all and look forward to welcoming them back soon as part of our Life Beyond School curriculum, where they will share their experiences and career paths with our current students. Once St Lawrence, always St Lawrence!
