Great way to celebrate our very first St Bernard's School Festival! Day 1 was packed with fun-from outdoor disco dancing and sensory tunnels to scarecrow creations. Plenty of water play to keep everyone cool! Day 2 saw our school community come together with families, stalls, games, delicious treats. We had fantastic entertainment from a talented singer and The Rock Choir. A huge thank you to Lincolnshire Competitions for treating our pupils and staff to a much needed ice cream on a very hot day, and a big shout out to Bertie's Ice Cream for joining us at such short notice. We are so proud of our amazing school community! Thank you to everyone who helped make our first festival at St Bernard's School such a huge success!
St Bernard's Sports Day St Bernard's was proud to host our second annual Sports Day, bringing together students, staff and families for two fantastic days of sport. Our students showed outstanding determination, resilience and sportsmanship, giving their best in every event while supporting and encouraging one another throughout. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and such a positive atmosphere across both days. We're incredibly proud of all our students and would like to thank our staff, volunteers and families for helping to make the event such a success. The cooling water fun in the summer heat was the perfect way to celebrate the end of a busy and successful school term!

A Wonderful Visit from Former St Lawrence Students! Yesterday at St Lawrence, we were delighted to welcome back three of our former students for a tour of the school. Our fantastic Student Leadership Team greeted them, showed them around, and provided refreshments. Cameron, Beth and Alan left St Lawrence 11 years ago, and it was amazing to catch up with them and hear how far they've come on their journeys into paid employment. Cameron is now working in catering at a Care Home in Louth. Beth is thriving in her role as a dinner lady in a school. Alan has progressed to become Head Groundsman at a local leisure resort. We are incredibly proud of them all and look forward to welcoming them back soon as part of our Life Beyond School curriculum, where they will share their experiences and career paths with our current students. Once St Lawrence, always St Lawrence!

A Huge Thank You to Horncastle and District Lions! We were delighted to welcome Phil Walter from the Horncastle Lions to the Outdoor Learning Centre this week. It was a pleasure showing him around and sharing a glimpse of the fantastic learning experiences that take place here every day in the OLC. We are incredibly grateful for their generous £1000 donation. This wonderful support will help us redevelop some of the older areas of the site and bring to life exciting new projects, including the landscaping of our nature play area and the creation of conservation and biodiversity gardens. We look forward to welcoming the Horncastle Lions back soon to see the progress their generosity has helped make possible. From everyone at St Lawrence School, thank you once again for your kindness and support #CommunitySupport #OutdoorLearning #ThankYou #HorncastleLions
