Hello and welcome to Olive Class!

We follow the ‘Explorers Pathway’ which means that our approach to learning is holistic and process-based. We adopt a child-centred approach and offer a bespoke curriculum for our students which puts each individual at the heart of our planning and is based on their individual needs and interests.

Learning in our classroom aims to emphasise connection and engagement. We provide a calm, nurturing environment where students are able to explore the world through a wide range of sensory experiences, meaningful communication and personalised support. Each student’s journey is unique to them, and we work closely with families and professionals to ensure that each student feels valued and is supported to reach their full potential.

We celebrate every achievement, no matter how big or small, and track progress using a range of approaches. Engagement in monitored through the Engagement Model and the early stages of development are measured using Routes for Learning. Our older students work towards gaining their accreditation through WJEC and AIMS.
