Welcome to Hazel class!!

Learning in hazel class is very fun and exciting, we use lots of concrete objects and manipulatives to support our understanding.

Phonics within Hazel class is again very much visual. We use foods/objects beginning with the sound/letter of the week. This also helps us to explore new foods and broaden our horizons.

Our Maths sessions are very much a practical experience. We use real life objects to support our understanding and to help us see this visually.

We very much enjoy our play curriculum, sharing toys and finding different ways to play with them. Our social skills are developing through play.

In Hazel class we really enjoy our sensory area – particularly if it involves getting messy!!

Our outside area is available all year round for students who need this to support their self-regulation. In the summer, we love taking our learning outside.
