We are proud to be a Gold: Rights Respecting School, the highest level of recognition from UNICEF through the Rights Respecting Schools Award. This recognises that children’s rights are embedded throughout our school and underpin our values, relationships and learning.
Our school community is guided by the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), helping pupils to understand their rights as well as the responsibilities that come with them.
Pupils regularly explore global issues and children’s rights through Picture News, while our Student Parliament gives children the opportunity to share their views and take an active role in decision-making within the school.

We also use Zones of Regulation to support pupils in understanding and managing their emotions, helping to create a respectful, supportive learning environment.
Achieving Gold status reflects our commitment to ensuring every child feels safe, valued and empowered to have a voice within our school community.
